Selected by the Future 500 Index as one of the 100 Slovenian companies most able to scale internationally
Ampliphi Bio has been named to Future 100 Slovenia, a list of 100 Slovenian companies that show the strongest potential to scale and compete internationally. The list was revealed on 31 August 2026 in Bled. It is the first time the Future 500 Index has been applied in full in any country.
A data-driven selection
Future 100 Slovenia is not a ranking of the biggest companies, and nobody could apply to be on it. The selection started with more than 203,000 registered Slovenian companies. Of these, 603 met the OECD definition of a high-growth firm. They were then assessed on seven weighted dimensions and nineteen indicators.
Growth is only one of the nineteen. The others look at whether a company can keep growing and take that growth to larger, international markets. They cover productivity, financial strength, exports and international presence, R&D investment, patents, involvement in European research programmes, governance and leadership stability. Every value comes from a named source and date, so the result can be checked by anyone.
The methodology was developed by an international research group at IEDC – Bled School of Management. It includes researchers from Harvard, Oxford, Edinburgh, ESMT Berlin and other institutions. SPIRIT Slovenia has the central institutional role in presenting Future 100 Slovenia.
What the selection means for Ampliphi Bio
Ampliphi Bio was founded in 2014 and achieved GMP certification in 2015. It is a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) specialising in nucleic acid therapies, mainly plasmid DNA and messenger RNA, for gene therapy & cell therapy.
Being part of Future 100 Slovenia confirms what drives Ampliphi Bio: scientific excellence, regulatory know-how and GMP compliance, combined with the ability to grow internationally.
